CLPB Rights rebrands as Incognita Distribution, hires ZED alum Chloé Persyn-Preljocaj

French sales house CLPB Rights has rebranded as Incognita Distribution, following the merger of parent company CLPB Media with Paris-based prodco Incognita last year, and appointed Chloé Persyn-Preljocaj as head of operations.

Persyn-Preljocaj has more than 15 years’ experience in documentary distribution, 12 of which were spent at ZED, becoming head of sales and acquisitions. She then joined TF1 Group’s Newen Connect in 2022 to grow its activity in the doc space and support producers in securing international financing.

At Incognita, Persyn-Preljocaj will expand commercial activities in collaboration with in-house producers and external talent. She will also initiate new documentary projects to bring fresh ideas to market and connect them with international buyers.

Incognita Distribution represents projects produced by Incognita Studio, born from the merger of CLPB Media and Incognita, across documentary, scripted and performing arts.

Incognita Studio houses several labels, comprising Incognita Film, Incognita TV, Incognita Doc, Hanoï Production, CPB Films, Compagnie des Phares et Balises and Camera Lucida.

Incognita Distribution will also distribute select third-party projects in France and internationally.

Édouard de Vésinne, founder and CEO of Incognita Studio, said: “Distribution lies at the heart of our strategy as independents; it is what allows our works to meet audiences and makes ambitious projects possible. With Chloé, we welcome a highly respected professional whose editorial acumen and international experience perfectly embody the new chapter we are opening with Incognita Distribution.”

Persyn-Preljocaj said: “Our ambition is to bring distinctive stories to audiences worldwide and to establish ourselves as a trusted partner for both producers and broadcasters. We aim to curate a portfolio of projects defined by strong editorial vision and genuine international appeal.”
