Cloudbabies float into Turkey

Cloudbabies was created by Bridget Appleby

Hoho Rights, the commercial arm of UK-based production company Hoho Entertainment, has forged an agreement that will take its preschool property Cloudbabies into Turkey.

Turkish children’s entertainment company Fauna, which is behind popular YouTube property Kukuli, will be responsible for building the linear and non-linear presence of Cloudbabies (52×10′) following the deal.

The series was created by art director Bridget Appleby and follows the adventures of four toddlers whose job is to look after the sky.

“It’s exciting to see companies believing in the new digital era to create brands. Kukuli proved to us that digital platforms are as important as TV nowadays to develop a brand, and with its high-quality animation and lovely stories there is no doubt Cloudbabies will reinforce this idea,” said Emre Aksoy, chief business officer of Fauna.

The deal with Fauna builds on recent international expansion for Cloudbabies, including in mainland China with media company Wow Dadi.

Cloudbabies premiered on CBeebies in the UK and has been licensed across the globe in territories including Russia, the US, South Africa, Asia and Latin America.
