The strategic move builds on All3Media’s scripted portfolio and follows the recent announcement that The Long Shadow creator, writer and showrunner George Kay has exclusively partnered with All3Media’s New Pictures.

Sunburnt Penguin will focus on drama and comedy projects and Mountford joins All3Media with a development slate already in place. All3Media International will be the company’s worldwide distribution partner.

Mountford co-founded Merman with Sharon Horgan in 2014.

As well as running the business with Horgan, Mountford co-executive produced Bad Sisters, co-written by Horgan who also executive produces and stars.

Mountford also executive produced the forthcoming Channel 4 series, Disability Benefits with Rosie Jones, Amandaland for BBC One, starring Lucy Punch, and produced the Sky comedy drama Dreamland, starring Lily Allen and Freema Agyeman.

Mountford was the producer and executive producer of two seasons of There She Goes (BBC Two). Further comedy credits include three series of Motherland (BBC Two), two season of Frayed for Sky One and ABC Australia, and both seasons of comedy drama This Way Up (Channel 4/HULU).

Prior to co- founding Merman, Clelia devised and produced two seasons of the comedy drama A Young Doctor’s Notebook starring Jon Hamm and Daniel Radcliffe, for Sky Arts.

She was also head of comedy at RDF and head of radio/script associate at TalkbackThames.

Mountford began her career in theatre and radio, producing comedy and drama for BBC Radio 2, 3 and 4, and was assistant producer on numerous theatre tours and West End shows.
