Classic picks up Ooglies

US distributor Classic Media has acquired worldwide TV, home entertainment and digital media rights to new BBC kids show Ooglies, plus the latest season of tween series Tracy Beaker.

Ooglies (26×15′) is a stop-frame animation sketch show that features comedy characters based on household objects and was unveiled last month, along with Tracy Beaker Returns (13×30′), as part of CBBC’s 2010 schedule.

Classic Media, whose relationship with the Tracy Beaker franchise stretches back seven years under its predecessor Entertainment Rights, will be presenting both shows to buyers at next week’s MipTV in Cannes. Classic does not have TV distribution rights to Tracy in the UK.
