CJ ENM Hong Kong grabs rights to seven TVING, Paramount+ titles

Suspense drama A Bloody Lucky Day

CJ ENM Hong Kong has acquired the pay TV rights to seven Korean series co-financed by streamers TVING and Paramount+ including Yonder, Bargain and A Bloody Lucky Day.

Under the deal, tvN and tvN Movies have acquired the first-window rights in several South-east territories including Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Singapore.

Korea-headquartered CJ ENM inked the deals with Paramount Global Content Distribution.

The productions are part of a global strategic partnership between CJ ENM and Paramount Global that was first announced in December 2021, with the shows also launching on TVING in South Korea and Paramount+ in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, Latin America, Brazil, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

Suspense drama A Bloody Lucky Day will be released on tvN in two parts, the first on December 2 and the second on December 9, while tvN Movies will launch Yonder and Bargain in January 2024.

Premiere dates for the other four titles have not yet been confirmed.

“Korean content continues to outperform itself and remain top choice for our audiences with unmatched creativity and global appeal,” said MD of CJ ENM Hong Kong Michael Jung.

“Apart from top-notch production and A-list talents, these dramas showcase diverse genres, from thriller to action and romance and are mostly produced by Studio Dragon and CJ ENM Studio.”
