Cineflix poaches Leopard exec

North American producer Cineflix Media has hired an exec from Leopard USA to bolster its development team following the departure of Brandon Killion.

Dave Hamilton will join Cineflix at its New York office this September as exec VP of development. He will be responsible for unscripted in the US, Canada and the global market.

LA-based Killion left the company over the summer having joined last year as exec VP of programming and development for North America.

A spokesman for Cineflix told C21 that this came after the company decided to focus its development activities in New York and Toronto.

Hamilton will report to Cineflix Media co-founders and co-CEOs Glen Salzman and Katherine Buck. He will work with president of production Charles Tremayne and exec VP of production and programming Kim Bondi.

Hamilton was senior VP of Leopard USA in New York, having joined the Argonon-owned company from Endemol USA in 2013.

At Leopard, Hamilton worked on franchises including House Hunters International and Man Caves, while developing new programming such as Restaurant Divided and The Filthy Rich Guide.

Cineflix, which also has offices in Montreal, Toronto, LA, London and Dublin, produces series such as American Pickers, Property Brothers and Mayday: Air Disaster.
