Cineflix hires Sonia Hosko as VP

US- and Canada-based production outfit Cineflix Studios has appointed Sonia Hosko to the newly created role of VP of current.

Hosko served as co-executive producer on CTV/Ion supernatural medical drama series Saving Hope and Global/ABC police drama Rookie Blue. Other credits include CTV/Ion police procedural The Detail and CBC legal drama Burden of Truth.

At Cineflix Studios, Hosko will oversee production of the company’s content and work closely with coproduction partners.

Based in Toronto, she will focus on the Canadian market while supporting expansion of Cineflix’s scripted shows, such as long-running crime procedural Coroner (CBC/The CW/Sky Witness/NBCUniversal International Networks), cult LGBTQ+ series Wynonna Earp (SYFY/CTV Sci-Fi/NBCUniversal International Networks), the second season of espionage drama Tehran (Apple TV+/Kan 11) and narco thriller Pure (WGNA/Hulu/Super Channel), alongside multiple projects in development.
