China’s ATV makes Atomic move

China’s ATV and BesTV are among a number of producers to have picked up children’s programming from Singapore-based production and distribution agency Bomanbridge Media.

ATV in Hong Kong has picked up animation Atomic Betty, about a 12-year-old superhero girl leading a double life as a normal student, while BesTV has acquired educational shows Box Yourself, Learn to Draw, Learn to Draw Minis and Box Yourself Minis from Norwegian prodco Earthtree Media.

China’s Television Broadcasts Limited has also added two shows to its slate, with AG Properties’ animation Care Bears and Cousins and Odd Squad from Canadian producer Sinking Ship set to air.

The latter prodco acquired compatriot Picture Box Distribution last week, with the two firms currently working on Amazon original Annedroids together.
