China travels time with CJ E&M

A Chinese version of South Korean variety show Let’s Go, Time Travellers is in the works after 3C Media licensed the rights from producer CJ E&M.

3C Media will make a local version to air on Sichuan TV from July. The show sees cast members ‘sent back in time’ to live like their ancestors.

Meanwhile, Thailand’s Workpoint Entertainment has acquired the format rights to makeover programme Let Me In. The local version will air on the company’s digital terrestrial TV channel Workpoint TV this year.

Elsewhere, daily soap opera A Bird that Doesn’t Sing had been sold to Japanese cable channel KNTV as a finished version ahead of its airing on Korean broadcaster TVN next month.

The drama is about a daughter who plots revenge against the greedy woman who murdered her mother.
