The Day Henry Met is shopped by Monster Entertainment

Viacom-owned UK terrestrial net Channel 5 has picked up an animated preschool show that follows a four-year-old boy as he meets objects and people.

The Day Henry Met… (104×5’) is produced by Dublin-based Wiggleywoo and will air on the broadcaster’s morning kids’ block Milkshake! later this year.

The show, which is in production on its fourth season, premiered on RTÉ in Ireland before airing on Nick Jr in 178 countries and then moving to free TV and SVoD. It is distributed internationally by Ireland’s Monster Entertainment.

Free-to-air broadcasters that have previously picked up the show include Rai in Italy; ABC in Australia; SVT in Sweden; YLE in Finland; TVO, TFO and Knowledge Network in Canada; TVP in Poland; Eesti in Estonia; LTV in Latvia; and RUV in Iceland.

SVoD rights have been acquired by Amazon, Svensk in Scandinavia, TF1 in France, Telefonica in Spain, BT in the UK, Jetsen Huashi in China and Horng En Culture in Taiwan.

Season four, which will bring the total number of episodes available to 104, is scheduled for completion in July 2019.
