Channel 4, Tesco Mobile take part in The Great British Phone Switch

UK pubcaster Channel 4 has partnered with phone operator Tesco Mobile on a branded entertainment series called The Great British Phone Switch.

The series sees parents and guardians swap digital lives for 48 hours with their children and aims to bring families closer as they navigate the transition from teens into adulthood.

Produced by Banijay UK’s Electric Robin, The Great British Phone Switch is presented by Anna Williamson and clinical psychologist Dr Martha Deiros Collado. Full episodes will be available to stream on Channel 4 and YouTube from tomorrow. Series highlights will also be shared on Channel 4’s Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.

Chris Jones, creative director at Electric Robin, said: In exploring everything from online safety and AI to working remotely and creating content, The Great British Phone Switch highlights the crucial role that honest family dialogue plays in bridging the generational digital divide.
