Crackit TV’s docuseries Secrets of Supercruisers

UK commercially-funded public broadcaster Channel 4 (C4) has commissioned factual entertainment lifestyle docuseries Secrets of Supercruisers.

The 8×60′ title, produced by UK Indie Crackit TV (Crime Scene Cleaners), follows passengers and crew aboard two luxury liners as they embark on trips around the Caribbean, South America, North Africa and the Canary Islands.

Each episode goes behind-the-scenes to look at life below deck, seeing exactly what it takes to operate a passenger vessel around the clock.

Secrets of Supercruisers was commissioned by Deborah Dunnett, commissioning editor, with Jo Street, director of commissioning, nations and regions and head of lifestyle. International distribution is being handled by Orange Smarty.

Dunnett said: “Crackit TV have brilliantly captured the life and activities on board a supercruiser. The series will take viewers on a journey to some of the world’s most beautiful places but also giving them insight into all the hard work it takes to deliver the holiday of a lifetime to thousands of guests.”

Elaine Hackett, CEO, Crackit TV, said: “This multi-faceted, aspirational series is the definition of escapism – and viewers won’t even need a passport to experience the journey for themselves.”

In related news, C4 has commissioned a branded entertainment series in partnership with credit reporting company Experian and fronted by comedian Mike Wozniak.

Credit 101 provides bite-sized financial guidance to help young people take control of their cash. The shortform series is produced by Goat Films and is available on Channel 4’s YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook accounts.
