Channel 4 recycles Naked’s trash

Commercially funded UK pubcaster Channel 4 has commissioned a format in which celebrities will wear their household rubbish in specially designed suits to make them face up to their consumer habits.

Jon Richardson

Trash Monsters is being produced by Fremantle-owned London-based prodco Naked, with comedian Jon Richardson as host.

Former pop star Kerry Katona, model Jodie Kidd and ex-England footballer John Barnes are the three celebrities involved in the 1×90’ special.

Across two weeks, the celebrities will wear their trash suit as they go about their regular lives. Throughout the experiment, the celebs will aim to reduce their carbon footprint.

The special was commissioned by Harjeet Chhokar, commissioning editor for factual at C4. The exec producers for Naked are Natalie McArdle and Matthew Cox.
