Channel 4 greenlights IWC history series

NEWS BRIEF: Commercially funded UK pubcaster Channel 4 has commissioned a 4×60’ series looking at key moments in British history when the country was under threat of invasion, produced by Banijay-owned IWC Media in conjunction with Brainchild Productions and Brightside Media.

Fortress Britain will be presented by Professor Alice Roberts, Dr Onyeka Nubia and Professor Dan George. It will be executive produced by Mark Downie for IWC, Dominic Bowles is series producer and director, and Theo Williams is associate producer. The commissioning editor for Channel 4 is Emily Shields.
