Channel 4, Boots re-team for digital shortform series fronted by Scarlett Moffatt

Scarlett Moffatt in The British Summer Survival Guide 

UK commercially funded pubcaster Channel 4’s social-first production arm, 4Studio Productions, has teamed up with health and beauty retailer Boots on a digital series fronted by Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt.

The British Summer Survival Guide sees Moffatt set out on the streets of the UK, trying to uncover the public’s most embarrassing summer stories.

The series runs on Channel 4’s YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok accounts, with 4×1′ episodes that feature light-hearted reflections on summer mishaps and adventures, each trying to make Moffatt laugh the most.

It marks the latest branded entertainment collaboration between C4 and Boots after Santa’s Day Off, a festive-themed three-part commission fronted by former pop star Frankie Bridge, aired late last year.

Hanz MacDonald, C4 digital development executive, commissioning, said: “This series will make viewers laugh along with Scarlett and reminisce about their own summer stories. We know that relatable, light-hearted content is what people want to see on their screens, so launching this campaign with a star well known for her warmth and wit is the perfect fit.”
