Champlain hires CTV alum as COO

Canada-based production company Champlain Media, owned by Tom Berry and Reel One Entertainment, has appointed a former CTV and Spin Master exec as chief operating officer.

Based in the company’s Toronto office and reporting to CEO Berry, Linda Stregger will oversee Champlain Media’s development and production activities and will direct its finances and operations.

Stregger was most recently VP of toyco Spin Master’s entertainment division. She is currently chair of Women in Film and Television Toronto and treasurer for non-profit organisation Youth Shelter.

Stregger previously worked in finance at CTV and operated an independent production company called Up Front Entertainment, which produced more than 600 hours of programming, including 27 documentaries and 20 series for domestic and international broadcasters.

Berry said: “As the company expands and embraces exciting new challenges and opportunities, we’re delighted to have Linda join our team and bring her financing acumen, strong leadership skillset and extensive production background.”
