ChaiFlicks expands programming roster with four-title Yes Studios deal

Checkout S4 will launch on ChaiFlicks in November

Jewish streaming service ChaiFlicks has signed a deal to acquire four scripted series, including the fourth season of supermarket-set comedy Checkout, from Israel’s Yes Studios.

The streamer, which operates in the US, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand, has also picked up the rights to Unsilenced, The Chef and Just for Today.

ChaiFlicks will launch the fourth season of Checkout, created by Nadav Frishman and Yaniv Zohar and produced by July August Productions, in November. The series is set in a fictional supermarket in Yavne, Israel, and follows the routine interactions between the store’s workers and customers. ChaiFlicks has previously licensed the first three seasons, and has renewed its licensing deal for those seasons.

Political thriller Unsilenced, created by Avraham Shalom Levi, Tamar Marom Moish Goldberg and Einat Zilber Damari and produced by Great Productions, will launch on the streamer in September, followed by dramas The Chef in December and Just for Today in early 2025.

ChaiFlicks co-founder Neil Friedman said: “Our team at ChaiFlicks continues to scour the world for the best Jewish programming available and we’re thrilled to add these critically acclaimed series from our partners at Yes Studios.”
