CBS wins Red Arrow’s Match

Match was developed for NRK in Norway

US broadcast network CBS is developing a local version of Scandinavian comedy Match, having picked up the format from Red Arrow Studios International.

The 20×14’ series was originally produced by Ape & Bjørn for NRK in Norway and revolves around a family whose daily life is punctuated by the running commentary of professional sports reporters.

The US version comes from Me, Myself & I creator Dan Kopelman, Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment, Michael Strahan and his SMAC Entertainment, New Media Vision, Red Arrow Studios International and CBS Studios.

Titled Game Time, the single-camera comedy will be written by Kopelman, who will also exec produce with Aron Kaplan and Dana Honor for Kapital Entertainment, Wendi Trilling for Trill TV, Strahan, Constance Schwartz-Morini and Thea Mann for SMAC Entertainment, Todd Lituchy for New Media Vision and Shirley Bowers for Red Arrow Studios International, along with Martin Lund and Ruben Thorkildsen.

The deal is managed for Red Arrow by Shirley Bowers, VP sales and acquisitions for North America, Australia and New Zealand.

Red Arrow is already partnering with CBS on German drama series Einstein, written and executive produced by Lauren Gussis (Insatiable), and Danni Delgado, which will be executive produced by Jennie Snyder Urman (Jane the Virgin) and her Sutton St Productions.
