CBS rehouses Israeli quadruplets

CBS will have another shot at developing Israeli scripted drama The Ran Quadruplets for US audiences following a deal with Armoza Formats.

CBS TV Studios and showrunner David Marshall Grant – executive producer of NBC hit Smash – will now move ahead with the project, which the Eye initially piloted a couple of years ago with Mike Kelley.

The series, which tells the fictional story of the first quadruplets born in Israel, ran for two seasons with local satcaster Yes.

CBS initially dubbed its version Quinn-Tuplets. No word yet on a title for the new adaptation, which will feature a “medical procedural element,” according to Armoza.

The latter’s CEO Avi Armoza will exec produce along with Marshall Grant, plus Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly, Yona Wiesenthal, Eilon Ratzkovsky, and the original series creators Giyora Yahalom and Oren Jakobi

Tariq Jalil and Arik Kneller from Intrigue also get a credit.

CBS TV Studios and Timberman-Beverly are the production companies, along with Yes and July-August Productions, which made the Israeli version and has since become part of Red Arrow Entertainment.

Armoza distributes the format and finished series internationally.
