CBS Reality joins New Zealand’s Motorway Patrol via deal with BossaNova

Motorway Patrol follows the officers who patrol New Zealand’s motorways

MIPCOM: CBS Reality, the channel owned by AMC Networks International (AMCNI) UK and ViacomCBS Networks International, has picked up 10 seasons of factual series Motorway Patrol from UK distributor BossaNova.

Produced by New Zealand-based factual producer Greenstone, the show has been acquired to air on CBS Reality across more than 35 territories in EMEA and the CIS.

As well as following the officers who patrol New Zealand’s motorways, the series also uses CCTV footage from motorway cameras.

The deal was brokered by Tatjana Kostovski, who joined BossaNova’s sales team earlier this summer as senior sales manager for CEE, Iberia, Asia, Latin America and MENA, and Alina Florea, VP of acquisitions and content partnerships at AMCNI UK.

AMCNI UK has also acquired the 12th season of Border Patrol, which is also produced by Greenstone, and the third season of Stampede Productions’ Border Force USA: The Bridges for CBS Reality in Poland and Africa.

Border Patrol is a 10×30’ series originally produced for TVNZ that focuses on customs officials on the front line of border patrol. Border Force USA: The Bridges (10×60’) follows the work of America’s Customs and Border Protection agency.

BossaNova is shopping the shows as part of its slate at Mipcom in Cannes this week.
