CBS, NBC strike Evil deal for Lat Am

Evil comes from Robert and Michelle King

MIPCOM: NBCUniversal International Networks (NBCUIN) is to take psychological drama Evil to Latin America after striking a deal with distributor CBS Studios International (CBSSI).

The series, from The Good Wife creators Robert and Michelle King, will debut in the region on Universal TV on October 31.

Evil focuses on a sceptical female psychologist who joins a priest-in-training and a contractor as they investigate the church’s backlog of unexplained mysteries, including supposed miracles, demonic possessions and hauntings.

The drama is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with King Size Productions.w

The deal is the latest between CBSSI and NBCUIN, which already licenses FBI, the crime procedural now in its second season from Law & Order creator Dick Wolf. It is produced by Universal Television in association with CBS Television Studios and Wolf Entertainment.
