CBS gives Ghosts a chance on fall schedule

Lionsgate TV and BBC Studios’ Ghosts is based on a BBC comedy

US broadcast network CBS’s fall 2021 slate features new versions of procedural dramas CSI, FBI and NCIS as well as an adaptation of BBC comedy Ghosts.

Ghosts is being produced by Lionsgate TV and BBC Studios in association with CBS Television Studios for the network and stars Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar as the new owners of a country estate inhabited by an eclectic group of deceased residents.

The series joins the network’s fall schedule with three new crime dramas: NCIS: Hawai’i, a CBS Studios production starring Vanessa Lachey as the first female special agent in charge of the NCIS Pearl Harbor field office, and Dick Wolf-produced FBI: International and CSI: Vegas, made by CBS Studios in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television.

Reality show Survivor will also air on CBS, along with returning NCIS series, comedy Young Sheldon, comedy United States of Al and crime drama The Equalizer.

Young Sheldon returns to CBS this fall

New midseason shows will include medical drama Good Sam, starring Sophia Bush and Jason Isaacs; comedy Smallwood, based on professional bowler Tom Smallwood’s life; and Come Dance with Me, a family competition series executive produced by LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell.

Returning in midseason are action-adventure drama Blood & Treasure, reality series Undercover Boss and gameshow The Amazing Race.

“We’re expanding three of our biggest, globally popular franchises, returning 22 fan favourites while nurturing our newer rising hits, and adding a host of year-round original programming that will appeal to viewers and advertisers alike.”
