CBS extends US remake of No Activity

No Activity was CBS All Access’s first original comedy

US-based streamer CBS All Access has ordered a third run of No Activity, its comedy adapted from the Australian show of the same name.

The CBS version is again being produced by CBS Television Studios, with original co-creator and director Trent O’Donnell attached to direct. Actor Will Ferrell and director Adam McKay are also onboard via their prodco Funny Or Die.

Marking All Access’s first original comedy when it was ordered in 2017, No Activity follows the daily routine of two low-level cops.

The Aussie original was ordered by streaming service Stan and produced by local prodco Jungle. It was created by O’Donnell and Patrick Brammall, who both also wrote the scripts and were showrunners for the US series’ first run. Stan has previously aired the US series as part of its originals line-up.
