CBC, TF1, SBS among int’l nets to pick up All3Media royalty doc The Real Crown

The Real Crown: Inside the House of Windsor

Broadcasters in Canada, Europe, Australia and the Middle East have pre-bought The Real Crown: Inside the House of Windsor from All3Media International.

CBC in English-speaking Canada, Radio-Canada in French-speaking Canada, TF1 in France and French-speaking territories, SBS in Australia and OSN in the Middle East have picked up the 5×60′ documentary series.

Produced by indie 72 Films for ITVX in the UK, The Real Crown aims to deliver the definitive history of the UK’s royal family and is due to launch on the commercial broadcaster’s streaming service later this year.

Further European deals have been concluded with CLT-UFA for the Netherlands and Flemish-speaking Luxembourg; RTL Television for Austria and Germany; DR in Denmark; SVT in Sweden; and TV2 in Norway.

The series is the latest production from 72 Films, the non-scripted independent production company founded by David Glover and Mark Raphael in 2016. The firm has also been behind Diana, 9/11: One Day in America, The Trump Show, All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur, Icons and The Rise of the Murdoch Dynasty.

The deals come as All3Media’s distribution arm prepares to screen new content to international buyers during the London Screenings this week on March 2 in the UK capital.
