Live-action show Odd Squad (40×22′), produced by Sinking Ship Entertainment and The Fred Rogers Company, is aimed at 5-8s and focuses on two young agents whose mission is to save the day whenever something unusual happens in their town.

It began airing on TVO in Canada and PBS Kids in the US last year and comes from Tim McKeon (Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends) and Adam Peltzman (The Electric Company).

Other broadcasters to have acquired the series include ABC3 in Australia, SVT Barnkanalen in Sweden, Norway’s NRK Super and Gloob in Brazil.

“The international cast of brilliant young actors will resonate with our audience and complement our programming line-up,” said Sarah Muller, head of CBBC drama development, acquisitions and animation.
