CazéTV and its Club World Cup coverage join Disney+ in Brazil

Brazilian YouTube channel CazéTV is operated by LiveMode and influencer Casemiro Miguel

CazéTV, the Brazilian YouTube channel operated by agency LiveMode and influencer Casemiro Miguel, has been integrated into the Disney+ offering in Brazil.

The deal means that Disney+ subscribers in the country can now access CazéTV’s content at no additional cost, including live sports broadcasts.

Among them is the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, which CazéTV will stream after striking a deal with sports streamer DAZN, the rights holder.

Other competitions that will now be available on Disney+ in Brazil include the Conmebol Libertadores Femenina, the UEFA Women’s Europa League, the UEFA Europa League, the UEFA Conference League, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1.

“We’re excited to bring CazéTV to our platform. The partnership between Disney+ and LiveMode is another step in our strategy to expand access to sports content on the platform, which already offers the entire ESPN catalogue, the number one sports brand in the world,” said Renato D’Angelo, general manager of Disney in Brazil.

For CazéTV, the Disney deal adds to its recently announced agreement with Prime Video to stream the FIFA Club World Cup, and to its ongoing partnerships with AVoD platforms such as Samsung TV Plus, where it operates as a FAST channel, and Mercado Play, where it became the first linear channel available on the service.

CazéTV was launched at the end of 2022, initially created to stream the FIFA World Cup. However, the channel’s popularity quickly led to an expansion in reach and programming, positioning it as the leading sports streaming service in Brazil, with almost 20 million subscribers on YouTube.

Teresa Penna, former Globoplay director and now head of distribution at CazéTV, said at the recent Rio2C event that the channel’s “great disruption” lies in “the language it uses to connect with young audiences,” which is not a language adapted from TV to the digital environment, but “a language born digital.”
