Cartoon Forum 2025 opens with pitches from Ireland, France and Germany

Preschool nature-themed series Natu Natu

CARTOON FORUM: The 36th edition of Cartoon Forum has opened in Toulouse with pitches from Irish, French and German production companies.

Kicking off the animation pitching event are preschool nature-themed series Natu Natu, shortform young-adult series Grannies and shortform family show Wing it Like Lilly.

Natu Natu comes from Ireland’s Cartoon Saloon, in coproduction with Superprod Animation in France and Melusine Productions in Luxembourg.

The 104×5’ 2D preschool series follows two curious little creatures who love to play, explore and discover new things in the garden. And at the end of each adventure, the ‘natu natus’ often find that the little wonders of nature are more connected than they first realised.

Grannies is produced by French indie Caïmans Productions and adapted from Sylvain Frécon’s Les Mémés comic books into a 30×2.15’ 2D animated series for adults and young adults.

The plot follows the adventures of three modern-day women whose combined age is 250 and who have a funny and lucid take on the world around them.

Finally, from Germany’s Wolkenlenker in coproduction with Copa Studio in Brazil, comes Wing it Like Lilly, a 52×3’ 2D series for family audiences.

The series centres on a chicken who attempts to juggle the world of showbiz and single motherhood, aiming to teach viewers the value of perseverance, love and finding humour in the quirkiest of situations.
