Carlyn Staudt named EVP global channels and streaming at Blue Ant Media

Carlyn Staudt has been promoted to the role of exec VP global channels and streaming at Canada’s Blue Ant Media (BAM), overseeing the company’s portfolio of global pay TV, FAST, SVoD and AVoD offerings outside of Canada.

She has been upped from her previous position of general manager of natural history network Love Nature.

Based in Washington, Staudt will continue to report to Jamie Schouela, president, global channels and media, as well as Michael MacMillan, co-founder and CEO.

In her expanded role as part of the senior leadership team, she will lead BAM’s international channels, including Love Nature, Declassified, HauntTV, Total Crime, Drag Race Universe, Love Pets and Love Drama. Staudt is tasked with growing BAM’s worldwide channels footprint across FAST, SVoD, AVoD and pay TV.

Staudt’s previous roles in the company include general manager of Love Nature, where she oversaw the strategic direction and operations of the brand globally, including affiliate sales, content partnerships, digital content, programming, marketing and communications.

As head of commissioning for all of BAM’s streaming and linear pay tv channels in the US and internationally, Staudt oversaw the commissioning and development of each content slate.

She joined BAM in 2017 in the role of EVP, programming and development, overseeing the global programming strategy of Love Nature’s linear platforms internationally, as well as commissioning original content.

Prior to that, Staudt held numerous roles at National Geographic during an almost 20-year tenure at the company, including SVP, global content partnerships and strategic development.
