Cardiff Productions strengthens senior team by upping Becky Nunn to exec producer

Wales-based indie Cardiff Productions has promoted from within to name its first executive producer.

Becky Nunn, formerly series producer, has taken on the new role. With over 20 years’ production experience, Nunn has worked across the full range of factual programming for UK and international broadcasters.

She was recently involved in the development of Cardiff Productions’ BBC format Take a Hike, which has been adapted from sister series Am Dro! on Welsh-language pubcaster S4C.

During her time as a freelancer, Nunn worked with companies including Plimsoll Productions, Spun Gold West and Icon. She previously spent 11 years at UK indie Ricochet Productions, where she worked on brands including Supernanny, Cowboy Builders and Food Unwrapped.

Cardiff Productions was launched in 2020 by experienced execs Pat Younge and Narinder Minhas following their departures from Sugar Films. It has a first-look deal with London-based distributor Hat Trick International.

The company is currently in production on Queer Eye star Tan France’s first British show, Beauty & the Bleach, for BBC Two; Remarkable Rivers with Richard Hammond for Channel 4; and We are Black & British, soon to air on BBC Two.
