Angels of Reality, which airs on NRJ12, follows former reality stars as they live together in a house in Los Angeles, where they are assigned mentors who help them find success in different parts of the entertainment industry, such as film or music.

Subsequent series have moved the location of the house to New York and Hawaii.

The format, produced by La Grosse Equipe, has been optioned by Zodiak Media-owned Palm Plus in the Netherlands, whose credits include MasterChef, Salon Takeover and Save My Holiday.

Can’t Stop is now moving into scripted series with Hollywood Girls, which casts local reality stars as actors in a drama set in Los Angeles.

NRJ12 recently finished a 25×30′ run, also produced by La Grosse Equipe, stripping the show across five weeks. A second season comprising 60 episodes has now been commissioned.

Can’t Stop is now discussing deals for the format with partners in Scandinavia and Germany, in which international producers would use the same sets and scripts, akin to other formats like Wipeout or Fort Boyard.

Can’t Stop CEO Matthieu Porte, who compares Hollywood Girls to Melrose or Gossip Girl, told C21: “Different producers can fly their own cast to LA and shoot the same drama as the French one. The plots are so international. It’s about these girls who decide to try and make it in the US.

“We are setting up the first international production. We have the locations, cameramen, transport. They come and we shoot exactly the same episodes. This has never been done so I’m in discussions with a lot of countries at the moment.”

Can’t Stop was set up by former Zodiak Rights executive Porte last year and has found success with shopping documentary Gaga by Gaultier and French reality format Intimate Confessions.
