Canale 5 adapts Banijay’s Star in the Star

NEWS BRIEF: Canale 5 in Italy has commissioned a local version of Banijay singing format Star in the Star, with Banijay Italia producing and model and actress Ilary Blasi hosting.

The show was created by Banijay-owned Brainpool in Germany for RTL. It sees celebrities sing and perform just like their idols with coaching, special effects, make-up and styling. Once they have transformed into iconic, well-known musicians, it is up to a comedy panel to work out who the famous faces are.
