Canal+ learns How To Survive a Murder

French pay TV broadcaster Canal+ has picked up true crime series How to Survive a Murder.

How to Survive a Murder from Intuitive Content

Produced by Intuitive Content and Lura Pictures, the four-parter is an account of executive producer John MacGibbon’s personal investigation into the brutal murder of his mother-in-law, a 76-year-old college professor stabbed more than 35 times in her apartment in Massachusetts.

The series, which is also exec produced by Andrew Zimmern and Patrick Weiland, premiered on Reelz in the US and on Sky in the UK last year. Principal Media handles the worldwide distribution rights.

Daniel Boluarte, head of acquisitions for Principal Media, said: “How to Survive a Murder is an especially personal take on a true crime story and you feel the frustration, anticipation and dedication John MacGibbon has as he films every twist and turn this murder investigation takes. Viewers will be riveted and inspired by this story.”
