Canadian producer Shaftesbury names Shauna Jamison as VP of production

Toronto-based production company Shaftesbury has named experienced exec Shauna Jamison as its VP of production.

Jamison, who has worked with the prodco behind Murdoch Mysteries for around 20 years, also join the Shaftesbury leadership team as part of the appointment.

She was part of the original production team on Murdoch Mysteries, which is now in its 18th season on Canadian pubcaster the CBC.

Jamison’s other credits include serving as production manager on projects including The Marriage Fool, Eloise at the Plaza and The Comey Rule, as well as a producer on In the Tall Grass, Code 8: Part II, Underbelly and Dark Oracle.

Her appointment comes after Shaftesbury announced last week that it had appointed former Corus Entertainment exec Susan Alexander as its senior director of creative.

Shaftesbury president and chairman Christina Jennings said: “Shauna has been a key part of Shaftesbury’s production family for over 20 years, from the very first Murdoch movie to most recently on Underbelly for Crave.

“She is a smart executive who thinks outside of the box and embraces new production models.”
