Canadian actor Bruce McCulloch is on board an animated adult comedy series following a junior lawyer who teams up with a recently deceased attorney to create a law firm catering for ghosts.

Paralegal comes from Toronto-based Lakeside Animation Studios, whose owner, Iouri Stepanov, and chief content officer, Aron Dunn, will be attending the Annecy International Animation Film Festival next week to pitch the project to networks, platforms, distributors and financiers.

Created by Tim Blair (Tallboyz), Jeremy Dobski (Just For Laughs) and Matt Lyon (Arctic Dogs), it follows an eager-to-please junior lawyer who teams up with a recently deceased super-slick attorney to create a law firm for ghosts.

With the help of the legal and supernatural experts in the junior lawyer’s own family, they work together to right the wrongs that were done to their clients, living and/or dead. McCulloch (Tallboyz, The Kids in the Hall, Young Drunk Punk) will voice the junior lawyer’s nemesis, a local crime lord and spirit medium.

“He’s a comedy legend, a national treasure and he brings such an incredible energy to the show,” said Lyon, chief creative officer at Lakeside Animation Studios.
