Canada’s WildBrain picks up rights to take Jungle Beat across the globe

Animated property Jungle Beat

ANNECY: Canadian kids’ and family entertainment outfit WildBrain has taken on worldwide distribution for hit animated property Jungle Beat.

Wildbrain has struck an exclusive partnership with owner Jungle Beat Animation Limited, which produces the show together with South Africa’s Sunrise Animation Studios. The series was previously distributed by Monster Entertainment.

WildBrain will now distribute the entire 130-episode library of Jungle Beat series, plus the brand’s developing film franchise, comprising Jungle Beat: The Movie (1×90’) and Jungle Beat 2: The Past (1×90’) – the second of which is currently in production and due for release in 2023.

The Canadian company will also seek to expand the property through management of its YouTube channels and ad sales on its premium kids’ and family AVoD network, plus linear Family Channel outlet.

“Jungle Beat is positioned to become a leading global property for preschool children, and WildBrain’s synergy and cohesion across all platforms and brand touchpoints is going to be a key part of making that happen,” said Sunrise Animation Studios founder Phil Cunningham.
