Canada’s Gusto TV taps into ASMR trend with sizzling bacon special

ASMRU HUNGRY? will ‘excite the senses and take viewers on a multisensory journey’

Canadian culinary brand Gusto TV will serve up its first-ever ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) special in celebration of International Bacon Day on September 7.

ASMRU HUNGRY? will “excite the senses and take viewers on a multisensory journey” using the sizzling sound of bacon being fried, according to the broadcaster.

It comes after ASMR videos have taken the digital world by storm by providing relaxing and immersive experiences through sound.

“The three most joyous sounds in the world are a cooing baby, a babbling brook, and sizzling bacon,” said Chris Knight, president and CEO of Gusto Worldwide Media. “We thought we’d start with bacon.”
