Canada’s CBC distills more Moonshine with Six Eleven Media and eOne

Moonshine follows a dysfunctional group of half-siblings in Nova Scotia

Canadian pubcaster CBC has ordered a second season of comedy-drama Moonshine, produced by Six Eleven Media and Entertainment One (eOne).

The series, created by showrunner Sheri Elwood (Lucifer, Call Me Fitz), will return for its 8×60’ sophomore outing next autumn on CBC and CBC Gem.

Production wrapped recently on new episodes of the eOne-distributed series.

Set and shot in Nova Scotia, the show tells the story of a dysfunctional clan of half-siblings who battle for control of the family-owned summer campground.

The show is executive produced by Elwood alongside Six Eleven Media’s Charles Bishop and eOne’s Jocelyn Hamilton.

Led by Jennifer Finnigan (Salvation), the cast includes Anastasia Phillips (Reign), Emma Hunter (Mr D), Tom Stevens (Wayward Pines), Alexander Nunez (Avocado Toast), Corrine Koslo (Anne with an E), Peter MacNeill (This Life) and Erin Darke (The Marvelous Mrs Maisel), with well-known Canadian actor Allan Hawco joining for season two.
