Canadian companies Boat Rocker and Shark Teeth Films are partnering on a trio of unscripted titles, including a fourth season of extreme-weather docuseries Secrets in the Ice.

Toronto-based studio Boat Rocker greenlit the fourth, 10×60’ instalment of Secrets in the Ice, which is produced by Shark Teeth. Filming is underway ahead of a fall premiere. The show uncovers secrets and mysteries which have been frozen in time in the coldest places on earth.

The companies are also partnering to make Discovery by Disaster (10×60’), which uses advanced CGI, archive footage and interviews to explore things that have been uncovered by extreme weather and calamitous incidents.

Shark Teeth, led by Adrian Carter and Tom Mudd, and Boat Rocker are also extending the Secrets In… franchise with a new instalment, Secrets in the Dark (10×60’). Set to be delivered by spring 2025, the show examines unusual discoveries that have turned up in dark, isolated locations.

Boat Rocker said it is currently in advanced negotiations with European broadcasters for pre-sales for all three series.

Secrets in the Ice has already proven to be a popular title internationally. Broadcasters and networks in more than 50 territories have acquired the series, including Seven One in Germany, Super Channel and Blue Ant Media in Canada, Canal D in French Canada, NatGeo in Asia, RTI in Italy and History in the UK/Ireland, Benelux, Poland, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria and South Africa.
