Canada’s Amuz renamed Just for Entertainment Distribution in line with parent ComediHa!’s rebrand
Quebec-based distributor Amuz Distribution has rebranded as Just for Entertainment Distribution (JFE Distribution), after parent company ComediHa! Group changed its name to Just for Entertainment Group last October.

The rebrands follow JFE Distribution’s acquisition of comedy organisation Just for Laughs Group’s portfolio last summer and comes less than two years after JFE Distribution rebranded from ComediHa! Distribution to Amuz Distribution in 2023.
JFE Distribution’s evolution from Amuz Distribution will see it include a wider range of scripted and unscripted feel-good entertainment. Content currently on its slate includes dramedy About Antoine, Ricardo Trogi’s latest autobiographical film 1995, sketch comedy Abroad, animated comedy Babyatrice, redemptive dramedy Larry, comedy series Like Father, Like Daughter and Just For Laugh’s hidden-camera show Gags.
The distribution unit will also represent more programmes from its parent company, such as the All Access series, Just For Laugh’s Stand Up Specials with Katherine Ryan and Jon Dore, Amazon Prime Video’s Pour un soir seulement, Gala ComediHa!, SuperFrancoFête and Starmania.
Alex Avon, Just for Entertainment’s chief marketing officer, said: “JFE Distribution is a natural progression with our holding company. JFE Distribution is excited to expand on our 360 approach with global programme distribution, monetisation with FAST and OTT channels, and more.
“Along with Zoé Crabtree, our distribution director of sales and acquisition, and Carlos Pacheco, director of monetisation and OTT, we are continuing our mission of ‘keeping the world feeling good’ by sharing even more new television, comedy and music programmes that Just For Entertainment produces.”
