Canada deal sees gameshow What Would Your Kid Do? reach 10th territory

UK format What Would Your Kid Do?

Canadian network Société Radio-Canada, part of national pubcaster CBC, has secured rights for UK format What Would Your Kid Do? from UK distributor ITV Studios.

Set for an early 2022 launch in French Canada, the show will be locally produced by Quebecois group Sphere Media.

The family gameshow asks parents how well they actually know their own children by putting hidden cameras in their home and catching the kids’ most adorable and hilarious moments.

The show was originally broadcast in the UK on ITV in 2018, presented by comedian Jason Manford. It was, however, cancelled after two seasons in 2020 with ITV saying it wanted to bring in new formats.

The sale in Canada means the show has now reached its 10th territory in total, with others including adaptations in Chile, Uruguay, Hong Kong, Hungary and Turkey as well as for the whole of MENA with satellite network ITV Choice.

What Would Your Kid Do? was created by ITV Studios-owned TwoFour.
