C4 goes Vintage with Allsopp

UK broadcaster Channel 4 has commissioned a new ‘homemaking’ show from Location Location Location presenter Kirstie Allsopp’s production company.

Kirstie’s Vintage Home (6×60′) will see Allsopp transforming people’s properties using homemade decorations and vintage items.

Karoline Copping and Kate Teckman commissioned the series for C4, which will be produced by Raise the Roof, the prodco Allsopp runs with Phil Spencer, her co-presenter on various property shows for C4.

Previously, Zodiak Media-owned prodco IWC Media made two seasons of the series titled Kirstie’s Handmade Home, also for C4, which last broadcast in 2010.

C21 understands there will also be a Christmas special of Kirstie’s Vintage Home in 2012, in which Kirstie will teach crafts in her café and decorate houses ready for the Christmas celebrations.

Raise the Roof makes Phil Spencer: Secret Agent, season two of which is currently airing on C4. It also produced Kirstie’s Handmade Britain (7×60′) last year and Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas (2×60′) in 2011.
