Buyers take away TWI's culinary delights

NATPE NEWS – UK producer-distributor TWI has earned back its Vegas expenses after shopping its cooking series Planet Food to a host of international broadcasters, including Discovery and Asia Television.

Produced by UK independent Pilot Productions, Planet Food is a culinary odyssey around the globe, with stop-overs in Spain, India, Morocco and France.

Broadcasters that have signed up for the series are equally as diverse and include Discovery Channel International, Asia Television, Landmark Travel Channel (for pan-Europe) and Spain's Geoplaneta.

Frequent fliers will also have a chance to savour the international flavour, after in-flight licences went to BA and South African Airways.

At Natpe, TWI is also pushing a pair of other factual series: Museum Mysteries (3×50'), an Alliance Atlantic and Double Exposure co-pro; and Ancient Worlds, a 5×60' series from JWM Productions.
