Buyers say hello to Cineflix Rights’ So Long, Marianne at London TV Screenings

So Long, Marianne charts the relationship between Leonard Cohen and his muse Marianne Ihlen

So Long, Marianne, the forthcoming international drama about the relationship between Canadian singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen and his muse Marianne Ihlen, will top distributor Cineflix Rights’ scripted slate at the London TV Screenings next week.

Commissioned by Norway’s NRK and Bell Media-owned Canadian streamer Crave, the 8×60′ series has already been pre-bought by buyers including UK streamer ITVX having been coproduced by Redpoint Productions, C3 Media and Tanweer Productions.

London-based Cineflix Rights has a slate of more than 100 hours of new scripted and unscripted series alongside returning seasons of shows such as Reginald the Vampire, Last King of The Cross and Whitstable Pearl.

Cameras are currently rolling on Wynonna Earp: Vengeance (1×90′), feature-length spin-off to the cult Western horror series, while In Memoriam (8×60′) is a French-language psychological thriller about a family torn apart as they quite literally battle for their father’s inheritance.

The company’s factual slate includes Amanda Owen’s Farming Lives (6×60′) Police 999: Clear and Present Danger (6×60′), Sue Perkins into Alaska (3×60′), Ainsley’s Taste of Malta (5×60′) and Jimmy’s Taste of Florida (5×60′).

Tim Mutimer, CEO at Cineflix Rights, said: “The London TV Screenings is now the key spring market for Cineflix Rights to launch our slate for the year ahead and I’m delighted to be introducing such a wealth of new content along with returning seasons of some of our key brands to buyers at our event next week.”
