Buyers in UK, Italy, Poland take Ukraine’s Brave Bunnies from WildBrain

Preschool series Brave Bunnies

Broadcasters in the UK, Italy and Poland have acquired Ukrainian preschool brand Brave Bunnies, produced by Glowberry, from Canada’s WildBrain.

Paramount-owned Milkshake! in the UK, Rai Yoyo in Italy and TeleToon+ in Poland have acquired seasons one and two (104×7′) of the show, production of which was disrupted by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Additionally, season one has been recently picked up by CNC Media International in South Korea and Stan in Australia. Season one is also now available on the WildBrain+ SVoD channel on Comcast in the US.

YouTube also remains a popular destination for Brave Bunnies fans, where the preschool brand continues to develop a global audience with new uploads each week on the official Brave Bunnies YouTube channel.

WildBrain partnered with producer Glowberry a year ago to ensure the popular series could continue to be made.

Working with Glowberry and Ibero-American animation studio Ánima, WildBrain handles global distribution of the series, while Glowberry retains distribution and licensing rights to the brand in Ukraine and Ánima retains distribution rights in Spain.

The show was created by Olga Cherepanova, co-founder of Glowberry and creative producer on the series.

WildBrain’s Vancouver animation studio coproduced season two of the Brave Bunnies series with Glowberry and Ánima, the producers of season one.

Last year’s agreement saw WildBrain become the majority stakeholder in the Brave Bunnies IP, with Glowberry and Ánima as minority stakeholders.
