Bunim/Murray partners Reacher star Alan Ritchson for survival series Predator vs Prey

LA-based production outfit Bunim/Murray Productions (BMP) is partnering with Alan Ritchson, star of Prime Video’s Reacher, on a survival competition series titled Predator vs Prey.

Ritchson will serve as host, game master and exec producer on the project, which sees 15 prior contestants from shows such as Alone, Outlast, Naked & Afraid and Survivor pitted against one another in a game of hide and seek taking place across 25-square-miles of rugged wilderness over 21 days.

The predators aim to capture the prey for a chance to bank up to US$500,000, while prey earn cash prizes for staying in the game. Every episode features unique challenges that will shake up the game and force the prey out of hiding.

BMP’s senior VP of development Gayani Wanigaratne developed the concept with Ritchson, who is currently in production on the fourth season of Reacher, a series he also executive produces.

Earlier this week, BMP, which is led by president and CEO Julie Pizzi and part of Banijay Americas, announced it is teaming with X Games on a reality competition series marking the 30th anniversary of the event.
