BritBox finds Grace in North America

Richie Campbell and John Simm in Grace

BBC Studios and ITV Studios’ joint-venture streaming service BritBox is adding crime thriller Grace, starring John Simm, to its slate of originals in North America.

The 2×90′ ITV drama will launch on BritBox in the US and Canada on April 27 and stars Simm as a tortured police detective working in the UK seaside city of Brighton.

The series, which premiered in the UK last week, comes from screenwriter Russell Lewis and is based on the hit Roy Grace novels by New York Times best-selling author Peter James.

It is a coproduction between Second Act Productions, Tall Story Pictures, both of which are part of ITV Studios, and Vaudeville Productions. It is distributed internationally by ITV Studios.

“Grace contains all the elements of what our audience is looking for from BritBox: an award-winning writing team, phenomenal British cast and, most importantly, a compelling mystery story packed with shocking twists,” said Emily Powers, head of BritBox North America.

“As the only authentic British streaming service available in North America, we have and continue to premiere edgy, modern, premium content.”
