BritBox expands Anderson offering

Terrahawks is available on Amazon Prime

BBC Studios and ITV joint-venture streamer Britbox has added more content from UK prodco Anderson Entertainment, founded by Thunderbirds creator Gerry Anderson.

Already available on the platform were Anderson’s Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, UFO and Space: 1999.

Britbox is now adding 1964 show Stingray, the first entirely colour British TV series, and 1969’s The Secret Service, which mixes live-action and puppetry. The shows will be available as part of the streamer’s Old School collection.

Anderson’s work has already been featured on other SVoD platforms. 1983’s Terrahawks is available on Amazon Prime and Anderson’s series also have a presence on platforms like Shout Factory, Comet and Pluto.

It follows the news earlier this week that South Africa will be the latest international territory where BritBox will roll out, following the US, UK, Canada and Australia.
