Bravo takes Kingdom

Bell Media in Canada has secured rights to air family saga Kingdom on its channel Bravo, following a deal with Endemol.

Produced by Endemol Studios for US cablenet DirecTV, the 10×60’ series is set in Venice, California, against the backdrop of the renegade subculture of mixed martial arts.

Kingdom premiered on DirecTV this week and will debut on Bravo on October 13. Byron Balasco is creator, exec producer and showrunner on the series.

The deal was brokered by Mike Cosentino, senior VP of programming for Bell Media and Matt Creasey, senior VP of sales and acquisitions, North America, for Endemol Worldwide Distribution.
