Bravo reshuffles development team

US cablenet Bravo Media has shuffled its exec pack with the appointment of a new VP of development to focus on original series.

Christy Dees has been promoted to the role following a spell as director of development at Bravo, where she worked on shows including the upcoming Game of Crowns and City Sisters.

She will develop new original series for the NBCUniversal-owned network as well as serving as an exec producer on the net’s docu-series Thicker Than Water. Dees will be based in Los Angeles and report to Lara Spotts, VP of development for Bravo.

“Christy’s impeccable understanding of the Bravo brand coupled with her infectious passion for reality television have earned her a winning track record in her three year’s here,” said Spotts.

The move follows appointments made last month by president of Bravo and Oxygen Frances Berwick, which saw Andy Cohen named exec VP of development at Bravo after a stint as senior VP of production and development.

It also comes after long-serving VP of production Christian Barcellos exited yesterday for Fox International Channels.
