Bravo makes production changes

US cablenet Bravo Media has made a slew of changes to its production and development teams as part of a series of internal promotions.

VP of development Lara Spotts has become senior VP of development and will lead scripted and non-scripted efforts on both the East and West coasts for pilots and original concepts.

Spotts was most recently working on shows including Newlyweds: The First Year and The People’s Couch and will be based in New York, reporting to Frances Berwick, president of Bravo and Oxygen Media.

Jenn Levy and Kathleen French have become senior VPs of production. Levy will take the lead on the network’s series including Shahs of Sunset and The Million Dollar Listing, while French will spearhead shows including Southern Charm and upcoming series Ladies to London.

Both will continue to be based in Los Angeles and report to Shari Levine, senior VP of production for Bravo Media.

Elsewhere, David Brewer has had his remit expanded after becoming VP of programme strategy and acquisitions for Oxygen Media, in addition to Bravo. David O’Connell was named senior VP of production operations, supervising original series and specials for both networks.

The reshuffle follows the hiring of two senior execs in January – Rachel Smith moved from BBC America to be VP of current production while Joseph Ferraro came from Ryan Seacrest Productions to be VP of development.
